HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces attended yesterday launch of Reem B, a prototype for the development of one of the most sophisticated humanoid service robots in the world.
The launch event which was organised by Pal Technology on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, was also attended by HH General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior.

Dubai Techno Park, the Dubai Government's technology initiative, said it had agreed to base the first Asia Gulf Horizons Fund Technology Centre at its premises. The free zone will also sponsor the launch of the KTIC Jasper Asia Gulf Horizons Fund in Dubai. Dubai Techno Park is managed by DP World. Jasper Capital, a financial and fund services company with operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and throughout the Gulf region, is the architect behind the design and establishment of the fund.

Dubai is setting up a technology institute in TechnoPark, an industrial area under Dubai World Economic Zones World, to work on research and development (R&D) projects focused on commercial applications. The Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology, (EIAST), a Dubai government organisation, has signed an MoU with the Russian Federal Space Agency (ROSCOSMOS), as it gears up to launch DubaiSat-1, a project that will initiate its ambitious space programme.
