Number of South Korean visitors to Dubai increase 50% Posted on 09/07/2008
The number of South Korean visitors arriving at Dubai International Airport (DIA) has increased by 50 per cent at the end of the first half of 2008, in comparison with the numbers by end of 2007, according to figures by Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD). DIA registered the arrival of 32,370 South Korean visitors during the first half of 2008 alone, whereas only 42,000 South Korean visitors passed through the airport in the whole year of 2007.

Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) has opened a representation office in Sydney, Australia to build destination awareness among the country's increasing number of overseas travellers. The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) recently hosted the inaugural Dubai Road Shows in Brazil with the aim of increasing the general awareness about the attractions in Dubai and the facilities for the tourists from the region.

The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) is packing all travel brochures, goody bags and souvenirs from the UAE capital for its delegation's trip to China later this month.
